ASK FOR HELP

If your painting project is a big one, consider hiring an interior designer. Someone with experience will have made a fair share of mistakes, and will already know what color combinations work. In lieu of a designer, talk with the clerks behind the paint counter at home improvement stores, or to the paint store employees. Even if they don't have interior design experience, they have mixed many a can of paint. Those who have worked long enough with paint will know the colors well enough that they can predict whether the computer will be successful at matching it or not in another line of paint. That kind of professional can be invaluable to your project.
