You may have noticed by now that the paint on the wall is slightly darker than the paint chip you picked up from the store. Richer shades with medium or darker intensities can also look darker if the room is dimly lit. A brochure showing your chosen paint color featured in a model room can help you see how that shade will probably look in your home, but keep in mind that the photographer used professional lighting. The amount of sunshine present in the room you are painting, as well as the nmber of light fixtures and type of light bulbs you use, will have different effects on how the color looks on the walls.
